My intake is down on the bellypan. I built an enclosure for the filter and added holes to the undertray. Intake temps are fine.

I think Tom went back to single injector. I have installed a couple kits and the last one was single injector again.

Ah ha, that's a clever reroute. I'll look into that if I have any knock after I get fueling reinforced in the top RPM range. I haven't had any issues cooling even on the track. Is your intake still behind the radiator? I have the old DDMWorks pipe that runs over the top of the engine into an airbox behind the driver's headlight. That made the biggest difference in IATs.

I know the manifold has gone through some revisions and it now has two smaller injectors closer to where the fuel lines come up into the engine bay. Short of doing an R&R on the whole kit to drill/tap for a new injector setup, I'm hoping I can run a pre-blower injector that will help distribute the fuel better across all cylinders.

I also have a 115mm pulley and have had some high rpm knock in the past when then engine is heat soaked. I am running without timing card.

The best thing I did to eliminate heat soak knock was to do a coolant reroute. I am running a koyo 37mm radiator and did a custom hot side reroute with a 180 degree thermostat. I used the Hawley Performance reroute kit with the Kia water neck so I could reverse the outlet direction. Then I fabricated custom return line.

My temps even on the hottest days rarely go over 205, and usually run about 190.

    Reading plugs (and fixing them?)

It's been a while (12+ years, 50k+ miles) since I installed the blower, and at that time I also did the usual maintenance including new plugs and wires. Everything still runs as it did back then, but I decided to check my compression and swap plugs last week. This was done on a cold motor.

Plug 2 has oil on it (valve cover gasket from 2007 is probably giving up) and there is some corrosion on all plugs. The numbers across the cylinders are pretty close and not too low for a car with 161k on the clock. Cylinders 3 and 4 look a bit lean though the car doesn't seem to mind. I have the single injector towards the front corner of the manifold, nothing pre blower as I still have the stock TB.

For reference my numbers in 2009 right before the SC went on were:

    1 - 170
    2 - 167
    3 - 169
    4 - 176

Are there adapters to install a pre blower injector without running a big TB? I am planning to swap in a DW100 fuel pump since my pump is original and put the 115mm pulley back on. I never could keep knock in check above 6k with it, and I am pretty sure it was running out of fuel up there as I saw it lean out no matter how many lights I gave it.
Working...
