  • Fuel Pressure Regulator

Your stock FPR (AFPR) is 20 years old and has been in the same position for that 20 years. It may or may not be functional for the near double fuel flow increase requirement.

We used the Aeromotive AFPR on the 1990 test car so we could have control and adjustability. Model 13301 for those of us into "Plain" and 13351 for those who desire "Bling". Also, I highly recommend spending another $15-$25 and adding a pressure gauge to it so that it is easy to set/monitor. If you can't find the fittings locally, McMaster-Carr is a great source.

Would an upgraded fuel pump be recommended or dose the stock Miata one do the job?

What PSI pressure gauge would you recommend?

Depends on the condition of your 20 year old original.

        The gauges are 0-100 PSI.

I'll have a better answer for that in a couple days but I believe the stock fuel pressure at idle is around 45 PSI?

I will shoot a batch of pictures of the 90 when I get it cleaned up. It is a 'test car' and I would like to clean up the hoses first.
