1.6L 93 install questions

Hi, I’m following the 90-93 install instructions and finding a lot of discrepancies between instructions and what’s on my car (like the fact that there is no upper and lower intake manifold)
But I’ve been making steady progress.

I’m starting the install part, but I don’t know if the alternator tensioning bracket should be removed? It seems to come in contact with the bottom of the intake manifold.

For reference, the bracket needs to get replaced by the bracket provided in the kit and then everything fits :D
